Edward James Weis, age 39, was taken too soon from us on August 26, 2013, where he resided in Reno, Nevada. Born on February 16, 1974 in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany to Mi Ma Weis, he grew up in Singapore, finished high school in Maui, Hawaii and earned a bachelors degree at NAU Flagstaff, Arizona. He was loved and admired by his older brother, David K Weis.
Ed enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. in 1997, and became a Staff Sergeant as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. He was a combat veteran in Iraq and a team member in The Assault of Fallujah. He participated in operation "Phantom Fury", The Battle of Fallujah, and AL Anbar Providence to ensure safe passage for forward moving infantry units. Ed received the Navy Marine Corps. Commendation Metal for his EOD combat operations and was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon in 2004. In 2002, Ed received the Bronze Metal for the Marine Corps. Championship Shooting.
After returning home from war as a decorated veteran, he served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Carson City Sheriff's Office for 5 years.
Eddie passed away too soon and had much more to give to this world...
He will be greatly missed.
